KS2 – QURAN STUDIES

KS2 students will be entitled to 2 lessons a week to help understand the Quran. In these lessons they will develop their reading, understanding and memorisation of the Quran. Reception students begin with the alphabet and will progress by the end of Year 6 to a level where they can read the Quran with good fluency. In terms of memorisation there is a target for our pupils to have memorised at least 1 chapter of the Quran. The lessons are taught in story format from the Quran and we focus on developing good manners and respect for all regardless of background.
